Swine Flu epidemic...

I am pregnant and have a toddler under the age of 2... The news has reported that there is a possible swine flu outbreak on base.. and there is "possibly" one confirmed Marine who has it...and 39 Marines that are being quarantined until they get the official test results back.If anyone knows anything about military installations especially a small community like ours...virus's spread very quickly like a wild fire...and the whole community can contract it. I live off base and I haven't been on base since last week...and I haven't left my house since Sunday evening. I just don't want to take any chances...So we have limited our outings and Keira stays at home and one parent leaves to go grab groceries...and in his case work. Keira, like most toddlers, don't know proper hygiene and puts objects and their hands in their mouth...and I am just going to limit her from being in public. I have noticed that we as a family get sick from Keira...She usually grabs a virus...and then Robert and I get it soon after.Call me paranoid...but, I don't have to mention the toddler casualty in Texas...Hopefully, the U.S. will band transportation across the Mexican border because we all know Mexico is the country that keeps infecting everyone...and a vaccine will be made in the next few months for those that haven't already contracted the flu...because I will be first in line to get it!

*UPDATE* The Pentagon has announced that the Marine is confirmed to have the swine flu...the remaining Marines are being held and not allowed in public places because of their exposure to the infected Marine. The WHO has announced that we are in phase 5 which is one step away from a full pandemic.

Becoming the economical retail therapist...on a budget!

So, I have figured out the BEST way of shopping...and that is online shopping. Not only do I get to shop in my jammies but I am also not having to spend the gas money to drive to my favorite retail shops. Sure everyone knows to look at the sale/clearance items for reduced prices...but, did you know that you can find even GREATER bargains that are hidden within each website?? These are PROMO codes that you input at the end of your transaction. All you have to do is GOOGLE your favorite store by adding online promo code...and then a wonderful list of websites pop up to help you grab the hidden bargains... Some of the promos require you to possess one of their credit cards to get the deal...and some of them will give you discounts on how much you spend or free shipping... Even better are the promotions with savings from new releases too... so that way you are not having to wait until it is clearanced to get the best deal...and sometimes that can be headache because they may not have your size!

So, in this recession, I have managed to find exclusive bargains that are friendly to my wallet.

Some of my favorite websites are: www.thebargainist.com and www.couponmountain.com

(and yes...I did figure this out myself...and this is my original post!)

Her name is officially Ayla!

So, this morning I went in for my anatomy scan and it looks like Ayla is nice and healthy!! She looked like she was batting at the technician to leave her alone, lol! She kept rolling and moving...it was too darn cute! The tech believes the baby could be a girl but is not absolutely sure...so I am sticking with that. I just kept looking over at Robert and he was excited to get a thorough look at his new princess. I was just so happy that he was finally able to enjoy this pregnancy with me!

"Lucky" by Jason Mraz

A wonderful song that reminds me of Robert and I's relationship...and its a duo..

Do you hear me,
Talking to you
Across the water
across the deep blue ocean
Under the open sky,
oh my, baby I'm trying

Boy I hear you... in my dreams
I feel your whisper across the sea
I keep you with me in my heart
You make it easier when life gets hard

Lucky I'm in love with my best friend
Lucky to have been where I have been
Lucky to be coming home again
Ooohh ooooh oooh oooh ooh ooh ooh ooh

They don't know how long it takes
Waiting for a love like this
Every time we say goodbye
I wish we had one more kiss
I'll wait for you
I promise you, I will

Lucky I'm in love with my best friend
Lucky to have been where I have been
Lucky to be coming home again
Lucky we're in love in every way
Lucky to have stayed where we have stayed
Lucky to be coming home someday

And so I'm sailing through the sea
To an island where we'll meet
You'll hear the music fill the air
I'll put a flower in your hair
Though the breezes through trees
Move so pretty you're all I see
As the world keeps spinning round
You hold me right here right now

Lucky I'm in love with my best friend
Lucky to have been where I have been
Lucky to be coming home again
Lucky we're in love in every way
Lucky to have stayed where we have stayed
Lucky to be coming home someday
Ooohh ooooh oooh oooh ooh ooh ooh ooh Ooooh ooooh oooh oooh ooh ooh ooh ooh

Maybe it's a...

Girl!

So, I went to Angel baby ultrasound in Palm Desert on Saturday...and the baby decided to sleep... because she wouldn't move her legs AT ALL for the tech to see the private parts very clearly...she even called my baby lazy, which pissed me off. She kept shaking my belly to get the baby to spread the legs and still no avail... somehow she pointed out that I am having a girl...and Robert and I are confused because the baby didn't cooperate and I asked her, "Are you sure?" She was like, "I wouldn't have told you if I wasn't."

Mind you this, I have a daughter already and

Keira was blatantly obvious that she was a girl on her 18 week ultrasound. So, as of right now, until I get the anatomy scan...and hopefully I will drink some Mountain Dew to get this munchkin active, I will assume that I am having another precious lil girl. I have to admit that I had some gender disappointment because I don't plan on popping out more kids to have a little boy someday.

Although, I look at Keira and I believe she is the most gorgeous, precious little girl in the world, and if I am having another one of her... Daddy is going to have to ward off the boys. Robert is happy as can be...two Daddy's girls!!

I have decided to name her Ayla...my mother claims that Ayla was my alternate name for me...and of course decided to name me Holly instead. I love the name and its not too common.I am also doing her room in pinks and browns so that I can have two different personalities for both girls..Keira has a purple and green theme for Tinker Bell...I am excited either way... I just needed a few days to absorb my thoughts on the new baby...
